Hai-O Forms Business Cooperation For Muslim Market In China

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Hai-O Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Hai-O Group, today formed a business cooperation with Shaanxi Leap Fortune of China to explore business opportunities in the Chinese Muslim market in China.

Group managing director Tan Kai Hee said the support and assistance include match-making Malaysian businessmen with their counterparts in China.

"To help Chinese Muslim enterprises to go global, and to connect with Muslim enterprises around the world, Hai-O has also agreed to assist Shaanxi Leap Fortune organise participation in the 5th Asean International Islamic Trade Fair in Kuala Lumpur in May," Tan said after the signing of the letter of intent with Shaanxi Leap Fortune here.

He said both parties have identified collaborative projects for organising trade fairs in China and Malaysia. Tan noted that Hai-O, which is involved in the trading of Chinese health & consumer products, is looking at more growth and business opportunities through its collaboration with Shaanxi Leap Fortune.

"We recorded a strong sales volume of RM200 million from Chinese products for the financial year ending April 2008 and, going forward, we anticipate better sales volume," he said.

Hai-O, Tan said, has a strong presence in China through its offices in four cities in China - Xian, Kunming, Guangzhou and Yi Wu.
